Highlights of Our Program

TWO YEAR OLD classes:
Must be turning two by September 1st of the year entering school.
A morning and an afternoon class is offered. Classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Two classes of 12 students are offered.

THREE YEAR OLD classes:
Must be turning three by December 31st of the year entering school. A morning and an afternoon class is offered. The morning class is for children turning 3 between August and December. The afternoon class is for children who are 3 before September 1st. Classes are held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Two classes of 17 students are offered.
Children are not required to be potty trained to be in our 2s or 3s classes. 
HALF DAY FOURS:
Must be turning four by December 31st of the year entering school. Classes are held Monday through Friday mornings from 9:00-11:30. Extended day STEM enrichment afternoons available Wednesdays and Fridays. 
LUNCH BUNCH: optional lunch program is offered daily for all half day programs from 11:30am-12:30pm.

FULL DAY FOURS classes:
Two full day fours classes are offered Monday through Friday. All children must be four before September 1st. 
KINDERGARTEN:
MSDE approved and licensed. One class with one certified teacher and an assistant teacher is offered Monday through Friday.

$3,875     3 Year Old Classes MWF 9-11:30 am or 12:30-3:00pm
$5,400     Half Day 4s M-F 9-11:30am Enrichment Days offered Wednesday and Friday 1 day $750 Both days $1,500
$7,950     4 Year Old full day Pre-K or STEM M-F 9am-3pm  
$8,870     5 Year Old full day Kindergarten class 
M-F 9am-3pm
Sibling discount: 10% family discount will be applied to the tuition of the youngest child enrolled. 
Student enrollment fees: $175 non-refundable fee for new students.  $100 non refundable fee for siblings. $125 non refundable fee for returning students. 
All fees associated with supplies, snack, Jump bunch, Music, Spanish, Chapel and STEM enrichment are included in the tuition cost.
Monthly costs are divided into 10 payments. The last months payment is collected with the signed contract and the remainder of the payments begins in August.
The last month fee as well as the registration fee are non-refundable.

Financial Aid: SMDS offers need-based financial aid every school year. To apply register for classes. After you have registered, contact the director at [email protected] to receive a financial aid application.
Applications must be completed by February 1st of the preceding school year. Aid will be awarded in March.
​When funds are available, additional scholarships can be applied for on a rolling basis.

Emergency Closing Policy for inclement weather:
*The director can make inclement weather closings at own discretion*

If Anne Arundel County closes school we are also closed, for at least one day. 
​If Anne Arundel County dismisses early, we also dismiss early. PM classes and after care are canceled.

If Anne Arundel County cancels after school activities, after care is canceled. 
If Anne Arundel County has a 1 hour delay, before care is canceled and school starts at 9 am.
If Anne Arundel County has a 2 hour delay, before care is canceled and school starts at 9:30 am.
