SMDS Programs

TWO YEAR OLDS:
A morning and an afternoon class is offered.
Classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays
from 9:00 - 11:30 am & 12:30 - 3:00 pm.

*Must be 2 by September 1st of the year entering school.


THREE YEAR OLDS:
A morning and afternoon class is offered.
Classes are held Monday, Wednesday and Friday half days. 

The morning class is from 9:00 - 11:30 am.
Must be turning three by December 31st of the year entering school.
 The morning class is for children turning 3 between August and December.

The afternoon class is from 12:30 - 3:00 pm.
​Children must be 3 years old before September 1st of the current year.


HALF DAY FOURS:
Classes are held daily from 9:00 am - 12:30 pm.
Must be turning 4 by December 31st of the year entering school. 

Additional enrichment days are optional on
Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 12:30 - 3:00 pm.


STEM:
Full day Kindergarten ready 4's class offered Monday- Friday.
All children must be 4 years old before September 1st.


PREK:
Full day Kindergarten ready 4's class offered Monday- Friday.
All children must be 4 years old before September 1st.

KINDERGARTEN:
MSDE approved and licensed class offered Monday through Friday. Kindergarteners must be five before September 1st.

2026-2027 Tuition Rates

$2,780     2 Year Old Classes T/TH 9-11:30 am or 12:30-3pm 
$4,070     3 Year Old Classes MWF 9-11:30 am or 12:30-3pm
$5,670     Half Day 4s M-F 9-12:30am Enrichment Days offered M/W/F 12:30-3pm 
$8,350     4 Year Old full day Pre-K or STEM M-F 9am-3pm  
$9,320     5 Year Old full day Kindergarten class M-F 9am-3pm
*Sibling discount: 10% family discount will be applied to the tuition of the youngest child enrolled. 

Student enrollment fees: $250 non-refundable fee for new students.  $100 non refundable fee for siblings. $150 non refundable fee for returning students. 
  • All fees associated with supplies, snack, and in school enrichment programs are included in the cost.
  • Monthly costs are divided into 10 payments. The last months payment is collected with the signed contract and the remainder of the payments begins in August.
The last month fee as well as the registration fee are non-refundable.

Before and After Care: both before school care and after school care are offered. Fees are collected monthly and annually. Parents must register by emailing the Associate Director at smdsassociatedirector.com. Drop in rates of $20 are available by reservation based on availability.
  • Before care: 7:30-9:00 am, $2,000 per year ($200 per month)
  • After care: 3:00-5:00 pm: $4,000 per year ($400 per month)

Financial Aid: SMDS offers need-based financial aid every school year. To apply register for classes. After you have registered, contact the Associate Director at [email protected] to receive a financial aid application.
Applications must be completed by February 1st of the preceding school year. Aid will be awarded in March.
​When funds are available, additional scholarships can be applied for on a rolling basis.

Emergency Closing Policy for inclement weather:
*The Director can make inclement weather closings at own discretion*
If Anne Arundel County closes school we are also closed.
​If Anne Arundel County dismisses early, we also dismiss early. PM classes and after care are canceled.
If Anne Arundel County cancels after school activities, after care is canceled. 
If Anne Arundel County has a 2 hour delay, before care is canceled and school starts at 10 am (carpool starts at 9:40 am).
