Our Curriculum
Our curriculum includes a full program of research based, emergent math and early literacy activities. These are consistent with the most current philosophies of early childhood education, as well as NAEYC and MD Excels approved. We also emphasize science, music, movement, art, drama, cooking, and social skills appropriate to the age level of the children so they can experience the excitement of learning about the world around them. In addition, each age/grade level includes special thematic units with developmentally appropriate goals and objectives, teaching the children to be good stewards of themselves, their environment and their community. All of our classes incorporate STEM activities and our nutritional "Eat to Live" philosophy into our daily lessons. Our growing Outdoor Classroom enhances all of our lessons and curriculums. Our Kindergarten uses the McGraw Hill Reading series and the Harcourt Brace math curriculum. Throughout the school year we offer multiple opportunities, at various times in the day and evening, for families to participate in their child’s school experience.
